Lochen Equipment is looking for a service technician to repair and maintain new and used skid steers, compact tractors, farm tractors, farm equipment, mini excavators, utility vehicles, and lawn and garden equipment in a safe and enjoyable job setting. Willing to train and school candidates with modest and seasoned back grounds. We are a stable company who have been serving our customers and valuing our team for over 120 years.
Qualifications
- Experience with diesel & gas engine repair, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with the latest electronically controlled machines.
- Experience with welding and fabricating is a plus, but not required.
- Must be able to fully comprehend hydraulic and electrical schematics.
- Must be a self-starter and be a strong communicator.
- Must be able to communicate professionally and in a service-oriented manner, both written and verbally, to: customers, vendors, manufacturers, etc. for technical questions and support.
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and pre-employment drug screening is required.
- Able to operate a laptop computer for diagnostics, service reports, and time reporting.
- Work well with teammates and have a positive attitude.
- 2 + years’ experience in equipment repairs preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics and repairs to gas and diesel lawn, AG, and construction equipment.
- Utilize schematics to troubleshoot mechanical issues and ensure proper equipment functionality.
- Conduct routine maintenance, including vehicle inspections, tire service, and alignment adjustments.
- Fabricate and weld components as needed.
- Maintain clear communication with Service Manager regarding service updates and recommendations.
- Adhere to safety protocols while operating heavy machinery and handling tools.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Perform work in a neat and orderly fashion.
- Document time and service details accurately on each repair order.
- Stay up-to-date on technical changes, product developments, manufacturer releases, etc. Attends training as required.
- Supply own tools.
